Flowing Flowers Stamp Set

I have chosen the Flowing Flowers Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! for my customer thank you cards this month. It is simply one of the most stunning stamp sets I have used. The image detail is so gorgeous just stamp it a couple of times and your done.

This one’s a winner in my books with great all occasion sentiments & such a nice font too.

My Project Details

I used the Split 4 Technique that I taught at my recent Love to Stamp Class. If you haven’t tried this technique it is a game changer when wanting to make a stack of cards.

I trimmed 1.6 cm off both the vertical and horizontal sides of a piece of A4 Basic White Cardstock & scored it down the centre both ways at 14cm & 9.7cm to create 4 quadrants

I then stamped along each of the scored lines and around the edges with the following inks colours

  • Blushing Bride
  • So Saffron
  • Pear Pizazz
  • Just Jade

When I did the class, I matted the cards onto the various colours of cardstock cut to 14.3 x 10cm & then mounted them onto a card base cut from Thick Basic White which I like to use for the base as it is more sturdy than the Basic White. We stamped 4 different sentiments in Basic Gray ink, to create cards for 4 separate occasions

For some of my customer Thank You’s I also stamped in Versarmark on Just Jade card stock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. The Label me Lovely punch was the perfect size for cutting these out.

I used a variety of the Sheer Soft Succulent Ribbon and the Irridescent Organdy Glitter Ribbon to finish off the cards.

I tried a new way of tying the ribbon by punching a small hole with the Label Me Fancy Punch. I lay the ribbon across the card front and from the back of the card, fed both ends up through the hole and secured with a knot or a bow around the ribbon at the front.
